Significant Representations and Experience
Advised Meridiam Infrastructure North America Inc. on fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) projects in several states.
Advised the U.S. Development Finance Institution (DFC) on its investment of €70 million as a limited partner in a Luxembourg fund, the proceeds of which will be used to invest in urban resilient projects, particularly in sectors such as urban mobility, energy transition, the built environment, smart city solutions, and resource management in emerging economies.
Advised DFC on its loan of up to $30 million to the IIX Women’s Catalyst Fund (a PI2 project), a subordinated debt vehicle providing first loss capital for bond offerings (the “Women’s Livelihood Bonds”) that ultimately fund underlying loans to improve women’s livelihoods in South and Southeast Asia and other emerging economies.
Advised DFC on its secured and guaranteed loan of up to $20 million to a Singapore entity, the proceeds of which will be used by the entity’s subsidiary to provide affordable residential housing for low-income families in the Philippines.
Advised DFC on its first direct investment of $15 million as a limited partner in an Indian fund that invests in entrepreneurs building the future of agriculture, food systems, climate, and the rural economy in India, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
Advised DFC on its loan of up to $40 million to an Indian company, which will be directed to women-owned or -led businesses and support new-to-credit borrowers.
Advised DFC on its loan of up to $20 million to an Indian microfinance institution lending to low-income female clients in rural and semiurban areas.
Advised DFC on its secured loan of up to $12 million to an Indian microfinance institution to expand microfinance lending to women-owned or -led microenterprises in India.
Advised DFC on its secured loan of up to $10 million to an Indian nonbanking financial company to expand affordable financing options for MSMEs engaged in the renewable energy, agritech, electric mobility, and sustainable healthcare sectors, guaranteed by corporate and personal guarantees.
Advised DFC on its loan of up to $9.5 million to Apollo Agriculture, which uses the proceeds of the loan to provide agricultural goods and services on credit to small-scale farmers in Kenya and elsewhere in East and West Africa.
Advised DFC on its loan of up to $7 million to a U.S. company, the proceeds of which will be used to finance working capital for the company’s insurance business in Kenya, Uganda, and Nigeria.
Advised DFC on its loan portfolio guaranty of up to $7 million to a microfinance institution based in Côte d’Ivoire to expand lending to women-led MSMEs who are new or first-time borrowers.
Advised DFC on its loan portfolio guaranty of up to $8.4 million to a financial institution based in Benin to expand lending to SMEs operating in the health sector.
